Maranatha Volunteers International Each February, members of the Eastwood Seventh-day Adventist Church join others in the unique opportunity of spreading the Gospel throughout the world by building much-needed church and school buildings in countries such as El Savador, Dominican Republic, Peru, and Dominica West Indies. In 2008, we will build a church in Valdivia, Chile. This coming year over 1 million people will join the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Every Sabbath, thousands of people gather to worship in a garage, shed or under a tree. Every day, five new churches are needed just to accommodate new members. In response to this urgent need for places to worship, Maranatha has begun the 1,000 Churches in 1,000 Days initiative to provide worship space for over 300,000 people all around the world. This program is an organized plan to build 1,000 urgently needed houses of worship in places throughout the world where the Seventh-day Adventist Church is growing rapidly. Every business day between January 2004 and December 2007, there will be a new monument to the glory and majesty of our Creator God. These churches will be constructed in India, Peru, Cuba, Dominican Republic and other places where there are very urgent needs. How You Can Get Involved |
