COVID-19 Guidelines

As we begin to resume some of our church programs, there are new plans and procedures in place to encourage a safe and comfortable environment for fellowship.

Below you will find guidelines for the various aspects of our weekly programs and activities. Please familiarize yourself with these guidelines. Please check back regularly as information will be updated as it becomes available.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Sabbath School:

Adult Sabbath School Class will reopen this Sabbath June 20 in the main sanctuary from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.  As an interim plan we will have one Adult Class that will alternate teachers.  Remote Sabbath School class will still be provided via Zoom.  This Adult Sabbath School schedule  and programming is an interim plan that we will be revisiting as opportunity allows. The Sabbath School Council is working on a plan for Young Adult Sabbath School* to reopen in the very near future.  We have not been given permission to resume Children- Teen’s Sabbath School, yet.  However, we are looking forward to that Sabbath and we have a plan ready to implement that is being worked on so everything will be ready, when we are given the green light for this phase of reopening.  Your safety is our concern and is a significant part of all planning as we reopen.

*update: Young Adult Sabbath school will resume July 18 in the fellowship hall

Worship Services:

The church facility has now reopened for the following on site services with certain guidelines:

Main Worship Service:

The sanctuary service will begin at 10:50 a.m. for opening song service to be followed by the main worship service at 11:00 a.m. Participants are encouraged to wear masks where possible. Social distancing is encouraged with the recommendation that families sit together and provide space for others in attendance. If overflow is needed it will be provided in the open space of the Narthex. Hand sanitizer will be available at a station upon entering both the foyer and the sanctuary and restroom use will be restricted to one person at a time.

Vespers Service:

Sabbath evening vespers services will be held thirty minutes before sunset Saturday evening where possible and in a space that provides appropriate social distancing. If the vespers is held in doors the Covid 19 guidelines from the main worship service will apply.

Prayer Meeting:

Prayer meeting will be held on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in a space that provides appropriate social distancing. Covid 19 guidelines from the main worship service will apply.
